'Dyfed Dirt Bike Club' and 'Aberystwyth and District Motorcycle Club' jointly organised the Ceredigion Enduro Championship Awards evening. Guest speaker for the evening was Welsh, Paris to Dakar Rally legend Craig Bounds. DDBC also used the evening to presented a cheque for £700 to the Air Ambulance, Chris Botting and Marie George of the Forestry Commission kindly accepted the cheque on behalf of the Air Ambulance. Cheques for £250 were also donated to Cil-y-Cwm and Caio playing fields. Much of the money raised was from the recent Caio Enduro and by donating the money to charity it gave DDBC the opportunity to thank the Davies family of Cilgawod farm,Mr Doug Davies of Maescadog farm and Eirwyn and Phil George for their assistance and support in making the Caio enduro a succsessful event. Craig then entertained us with a talk about his Dakar high’s and low’s experiences with his unique outlook on life, he was assisted by Tamsin Jones another of the elite Dakar finishers. Before finishing Craig presented the 2009 Ceredigion Enduro Championship winners with their trophies.
