Constitution

Dyfed Dirt Bike Club, founded on 28 November 2003, has for it's aims the encouragement and protection of off-road motorcycle interests in the Lampeter and District area. The Club endeavours to meet the requirements of both the competition and recreational rider and it’s non-rider members by organising various sporting, social and training events throughout the year.

Membership
Motorcyclists and enthusiasts wishing to join the Club should apply to any member with whom they are acquainted, or directly to the Club Membership Secretary. The annual membership fee will be £10.00 for adults and £5.00 for juniors(under 16). Annual Membership starts on the 1st of January each year, members who have not renewed their membership before the 1st of March will be deemed to have resigned from the club. This fee includes affiliations fee which entitles members to the various benefits attached thereto. The membership fee will be reviewed annually at the Annual General Meeting.

Rules
1. The Club shall be called Dyfed Dirt Bike Club (Clwb Beic Modur Dyfed) and shall have for it's object the encouragement and protection of off-road motorcycle interests in this district.
2. The Club shall be affiliated to the ACU, the fee for which shall be included in the annual subscription.
3. The Club shall be essentially a members' Club, and shall be conducted independently of any personal interests.
4. The Club may organise from time to time coaching days and competitions open to members of this Club in Enduro, Cross Country, Trials, Motocross, Rally and Grass Track type events, and organise excursions and social events for Club members and their friends.
5. The Club shall be governed by a Committee consisting of the Chairman and Vice-Chairman, Secretary and Assistant Secretary, Treasurer and members; five to form a quorum. The Committee shall be elected for the year at the Annual General Meeting. In the case of a vacancy occurring on the Committee, the members shall immediately appoint another instead of the one vacating office.
6. The Annual General Meeting shall be held at Headquarters in the Lampeter Rugby Club. Special Meetings may be convened by direction of the Committee on the written requisition of not less than one-fifth of the members. Fourteen days' notice to be given of a General Meeting; seven to form a quorum.
7. The Committee shall at the Annual General Meeting present a Report and Balance Sheet which latter shall be duly certified by two Auditors elected at the Annual General Meeting.
8. The Committee shall not make any modification in these Rules without the Authority of a General Meeting.
9. If any member desires a matter to be brought forward at a General Meeting, the text of such matter shall be sent to the Secretary at least 10 days before the date of such meeting, so that it may be included in the Agenda.
10. At General Meetings, whether ordinary or extraordinary, a majority of votes decides a resolution, the Chairman having a casting vote in case of even voting.
11. Members hold themselves bound in honour in all cases of dispute or disagreement as to the interpretation of the Rules and Regulations of the Club, to accept the decision of the Committee as final and binding.
